Shenzhen Zhenye (Group) Co., Ltd. is a Shenzhen municipally owned, state-controlled listed company mainly engaged in real estate development.

In 2010, the Baoneng group built up a large position in Shenzhen Zhenye with the aim of gaining a controlling stake, and Shenzhen Zhenye thus began a four-year process of “defending the city”. In 2010 and 2011, Lin Maode held a post at Shenzhen Zhenye; he later became Party secretary and chairman of Shenzhen Metro Group Co., Ltd., and during the Baoneng–Vanke battle he led Shenzhen Metro’s acquisition of the Vanke shares held by China Resources and Evergrande, making Shenzhen Metro Vanke’s largest shareholder.
